Background information: Ipamorelin is a peptide selective ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor agonist. It’s a pentapeptide with the sequence: Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 that was derived from GHRP-1. The effectiveness of ghrelin stimulation can be related to GHRP6 with less appetite stimulation properties. Ipamorelin does not stimulate the secretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) or cortisol and is highly selective for inducing the secretion only of GH-Secretagogues.
