Unlike TNFR1 and Fas, DR6 induces apoptosis independently of FADD adaptor. In immune system, DR6 serves as an important regulator for CD4+ T cell proliferation and Th differentiation, and provides also a regulatory mechanism for B cell activation and humoral immune responses. |
